Our Capstan Pedestal base is one of the most popular among our offerings. These are made from either turned poplar, white oak or ash. The maximum diameter we use on this base is 72” round. Maximum table length depends on width and thickness. If the table is long, just add a second base.
The piece that sits on the floor underneath the pedestal is the footing. The footing is always half the size of the top so that it can provide balance and stability. The footing shape depends on the shape of the top and can be square with cutout corners, round, oval, racetrack or a number of other choices.

Our counter height Chunky Dining Tables are all made to order. They can have rectangular, oval or round tops. Typical lead time is 15 weeks.
While “burgee” typically is a sailing flag of some sort, for us it’s a new type of table—still with four legs, but without the typical aprons surrounding them. The result is a cleaner, more modern feel while still recalling the wood turned traditions of the past. For this table we use our Edgartown legs.

Our take on the trestle table, a staple of dining table design stretching back hundreds of years, incorporates a specially turned ball within the standing leg. Hence, our trestle with a twist.
Shown here with a 36x72 top and 36” tall, this table can be made dining height (30 inches) with a top of your chosen size and material. The base is painted in a gloss or satin finish.

Our Super Capstan entirely in stain. These bases can be stained or painted with your of standard or custom colors. This 20” thick base is designed for larger tabletops, 60” in diameter or more and nearly as long as you have room for.
