Goodbye, Summer!

Dunes and I typically are running this way and that, barely able to touch down long enough to unpack, but we were treated with a rare evening last week that we used to say goodbye to our favorite season, Summer.

We arrived home a little earlier than expected. The weather was warm, the wind had laid down, and it was the perfect opportunity to take our little boat out for a sunset cruise.

And a little snack.

We thought about all the things we are thankful for. Our love, the beauty and warmth of the day, how we are able to share our candelabras with people all around the world.

It was an evening of fun-loving playfulness that we had sorely missed with all the work we’ve been doing. We had to remind ourselves to take time.

At sundown we headed home to do what we encourage all of you to do—light the candelabra!
